Privacy Policy
How this website handles information about the people who visit it. Last updated 1 August 2026.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to cogni-fort.com and nothing else. We are an independent information and marketing website covering the CogniFort dietary supplement. We are not the manufacturer and we are not the seller.
When you click through to buy, you leave this site and arrive at a checkout operated by a separate company. Everything that happens from that point — the details you enter, the payment, the shipping information, the order record — is governed by that company's privacy policy, not this one. We never see, receive or store your payment details.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive whatever you choose to send: typically a name, an email address, the topic you selected and the text of your message. We ask you not to include medical details, prescription information or any other sensitive personal data, because we cannot give medical advice and there is no reason for us to hold it.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical data when a page is requested: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. This is used for security, diagnosing faults and understanding aggregate traffic patterns.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect payment card numbers, bank details, government identification numbers, health records or biometric data. We do not ask for your date of birth. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 18, and this site is not directed at children.
How we use information
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To keep the site running, secure and free of faults.
- To understand which pages are read and which are ignored, in aggregate, so we can improve what we publish.
- To meet legal obligations where they apply.
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent or trade contact details. We do not add people to marketing lists because they used the contact form.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site uses a small number of cookies and comparable technologies. Some are strictly necessary for the site to function. Others support analytics, which tell us how many people read a page without identifying any of them to us individually. Some links carry affiliate tracking parameters so a referral can be attributed correctly — more on that below.
Every mainstream browser lets you view, block and delete cookies through its settings. Blocking cookies will not prevent you reading anything on this site. If you want the general background, the FTC's consumer information pages explain online tracking in plain language.
Affiliate links and how we are paid
This website earns commission on purchases made through links to the official seller. When you click one, a tracking parameter or cookie may record that the referral came from here, so the commission is attributed correctly. This does not change the price you pay.
We disclose this on the about page, in the footer of every page and in our disclaimer, because a commercial relationship you only discover afterwards is not a disclosed one.
Third parties
A small number of external services touch this site in the ordinary course of it working: a hosting provider, an analytics provider, a web font provider and an email provider that handles messages sent to our support addresses. Each processes data under its own policy and only to the extent needed to deliver its service.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, where it is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the website — in which case this policy would continue to apply to information collected before the transfer.
How long we keep things
Contact form messages and email correspondence are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up on an ongoing conversation, then deleted. Server logs are retained for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes. Aggregate analytics data, which does not identify individuals, may be kept longer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent you previously gave. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California and several other jurisdictions have specific statutory rights of this kind.
To exercise any of them, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not treat you differently for making one.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and access to any stored contact correspondence is limited to the people who need it. No system connected to the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. Please do not send sensitive personal or medical information through the contact form.
International visitors
This site is operated from the United States and information processed in connection with it may be stored or handled there. Data protection law in the United States differs from that in other countries. By using this site you understand that your information may be processed in a jurisdiction other than your own.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change or when the law requires it. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on the page itself rather than made quietly.
Contact
Questions about this policy go to [email protected]. General questions can go through the contact page. Questions about an order you have placed should go to the official seller's support team, since they hold the order record and we do not.
